Cult German black metallers Nargaroth head to the UK

A band sired in the darkest reaches of the German black metal scene, but one that’s also not afraid to take risks - not least with the electronic beats that surfaced on their last album - 2011’s Spectral Visions Of Mental Warfare - Nargaroth are making a very rare appearance at the Boston Arms Music Rooms in Tufnell Park this Saturday January 9.

Atavistic yet emotive, Nargaroth’s dedication to classic black metal has surfaced somewhat explicitly in the demo 2000 demo Fuck Off Nowadays Black Metal and the following year’s Black Metal Ist Krieg (A Dedication Monument) full-length, and as the video below proves, they’re a mesmerising live act, harnessing repetition and soul-freezing true cult attitude to overwhelming, mindwarping effect.

Nargaroth’s live show comes with support from UK black metal acts Terra, Premature Birth and Scutum Crux and it’s bound to be a night of unholy rapture. Tickets are £14 in advance from Stargreen and SeeTickets and the portals to Hell open at 6pm. Your damnation demands it!
