Blues isn’t exclusively an older man’s game
Joe Bonamassa is doing his best to prove the point and Kenny Wayne Shepherd offers further compelling evidence that the new breed of blues musician is continuing to push the boundaries of this century-old genre. Hardly a spring chicken after two decades in the business, the 37-year-old is, nevertheless, a figurehead for the next generation and no longer needs to prove himself to the fiercely protective old guard. The boy can play – and he does. For almost two hours.
