BFMV in studio for 5th album

Bullet For My Valentine have finally begun recording their fifth album, they’ve confirmed.

Writing has been underway for more than a year, with frontman Matt Tuck saying in October that they’d written 11 tracks for the follow-up to 2013’s Temper Temper.

BFMV report: “We have the most songs we’ve ever had before recording sessions – now begins the difficult process of choosing the best of the best to make the cut.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have our man Colin Richardson behind the desk again. We worked with Colin on our first two records, and as we listened back to those during the writing process, we released what a special vibe they have.”

Richardson will be joined by producer Carl Bown on the project. The Welsh outfit say: “Carl is the most exciting new British producer out there right now, and the guy to help take this Bullet record to exciting new places.

“This album is not about going backwards.”

The band – who’ll join Slipknot, Lamb Of God and Motionless In White on a US summer tour – aim to provide regular updates via their Instagram account. The album is expected by the middle of the year.
