Eagles Of Death Metal get their Zipper Down

The Eagles Of Death Metal will release Zipper Down – their first album in seven years – on October 2.

Josh Homme and Jesse Hughes have released a stream of opening track Complexity, available below. The 11-track record features 10 original songs plus a cover of Duran Duran’s Save A Prayer.

Hughes says: “Zipper Down really represents to me an attitude and philosophy of life. One should not zipper up. One should zipper down and let it all hang out.”

Homme adds: “In an independent study, four out of three doctors say Zipper Down is an eargasm trapped inside a crazerbeam. And I believe them.”

They’ve also issued a trailer for their documentary The Redemption Of The Devil, described as “an intimate and brutally honest portrayal of a year in the life of Jesse Hughes.” It premieres on July 1 at the Everyman Music Film Festival, London. Tickets for the event are now available.

Zipper Down is available to pre-order while Amazon customers in the US are also being offered the chance to buy one of 500 signed copies of the CD. The Eagles Of Death Metal are currently on tour across Europe after playing last weekend’s Download festival, and return to the UK in November.
