Bob Harris joins TeamRock

Veteran rock presenter Bob Harris has joined TeamRock for a series of radio shows throughout 2016.

He’ll play his choice of rock songs, drawn from his own personal collection gathered from the past 50 years, along with new and archive interviews from the world’s biggest rock bands.

TeamRock Content Director Scott Rowley says: “Bob Harris is one of the all-time great rock presenters and it’s an honour to have him join us here at TeamRock as part of our new drive to create unique, original programming for our members.

“It’s a pleasure to announce this show as the first of many that we will be announcing for 2016.”

Harris adds: “This is an exciting programme to do. I moved to London in 1966 and this show will explore my love of rock music from then until now.

“The chance to work with TeamRock and present this programme for a worldwide audience, is something I’m really excited about doing.”

The first programme will be available via the TeamRock Radio app on January 22 and broadcast live on January 30.

Harris is known for his work on the BBC, fronting iconic music show The Old Grey Whistle Test in the 70s and his subsequent radio output. He currently hosts Bob Harris Country and Bob Harris Sunday on BBC Radio 2.
