Steven Tyler Skittles portrait to be auctioned

A portrait of Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler made out of Skittles is to be auctioned on eBay for charity.

A replica of the artwork which featured on an advert shown during Super Bowl 50 at the weekend will be sold to raise money for the Aerosmiths singer’s initiative Janie’s Fund.

Named after the band’s 1989 hit Janie’s Got A Gun, Tyler’s charity is partnered with organisation Youth Villages, which provides trauma-informed care programmes for victims of abuse or neglect.

The 67-year-old recently made track Red White And You available to stream from his upcoming debut solo album, which is due out later this year.

The Aerosmith mainman has previously admitted his Aerosmith bandmates are “not happy” about the solo record as it has resulted in the Boston band scrapping most of their 2016 tour plans, according to guitarist Brad Whitford.

Fans can bid on the portrait at SkittlesPortrait.com and the auction ends on Wednesday, February 10, at 4:30pm CMT.
