Popovic to launch 3 albums together

Ana Popovic will launch three brand-new albums together in May, featuring guest appearances by Joe Bonamassa, Bernard ‘Pretty’ Purdie, Robert Randolph and Ivan Neville.

Each volume focuses on one of her main musical interests – blues, jazz and funk, with the collection featuring a total of 25 tracks.

Popovic tells the Pocono Record: “All these genres have a huge base in the blues. So many jazz standards are very bluesy. That side is something I’m very interested in. You can take anything you want out of the blues.”

She adds: “I wanted to give people a lot of music. It’s a very exciting project.”

Popovic takes part in this year’s Experience Hendrix guitar tour of the US, alongside Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Zakk Wylde and others, before returning to her own touring schedule.
