Apocalyptica have announced a tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary for their album, Plays Metallica By Four Cellos.

They’ll reissue the record with three never-before-released bonus tracks – Battery, Nothing Matters and Seek And Destroy – on July 22. They hit the road in Europe and the UK to promote it next February.

Cellist Eicca Toppinen previously said: “I think with people who have heard about us and they heard stories about Apocalyptica who play cellos, when they see us live, the people are usually like ‘Woah! What the fuck is going on? What’s happened?’

“I’m happy that it’s mainly positive feedback from what I have heard and what I get.”

Apocalyptica are currently on tour in support of their 2014 album Shadowmaker, which they streamed via TeamRock ahead of its launch. They’ll also appear at the TeamRock-sponsored Stone Free Festival at London’s O2 Arena in June.

Tickets for the anniversary tour go on sale on Friday (May 13) on MyTicket.
