Cradle Of Filth to reissue second album Dusk And Her Embrace in July
The 20th anniversary re-release of Cradle Of Filth's Dusk And Her Embrace will feature the original 1995 tapes for the first time
Cradle Of Filth will re-release their second album as Dusk And Her Embrace... The Original Sin on July 8 to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
The reissue will feature the band's previously unheard original recordings from 1995. They were never used due to a legal battle with Cradle Of Filth's record label at the time, Cacophonous Records.
But the new record is set to relaunch through the same label.
Last year frontman Dani Filth told TeamRock: "We thought the label were doing a shit job – which they were hence why we were taking them to court – and in the end we won the rights to the music.
"The exciting thing is the original recordings of Dusk – which were literally just sat gathering dust on someone’s shelf – are actually going to see the light of day next year to mark the 20th anniversary of the album. It’s going to be a really cool part of Cradle history, and obviously they’ve never been heard before by anyone."
Dusk And Her Embrace... The Original Sin will launch on July 8 on CD and digital formats. A vinyl LP will be made available later in the year, with a full tracklist to be issued in due course.
Cradle Of Filth are currently touring Russia in support of their latest album Hammer Of The Witches.
