Killswitch Engage's Adam Dutkiewicz confirms new Times Of Grace material
Download 2016: Killswitch Engage’s Adam Dutkiewicz says he'll record with bandmate Jesse Leach on further Times Of Grace material
Killswitch Engage spinoff project Times Of Grace will put out another record, according to Adam Dutkiewicz.
The guitarist says he’ll begin work on the follow-up to 2011's The Hymn Of A Broken Man with frontman Jesse Leach. And he’s confirmed he already has a handful of tracks written.
Dutkiewicz exclusively tells TeamRock: “We're going to do another record. I have written five songs and I'm hoping after we get home from tour, I’ll start demoing some more material.
“Once we get enough demos for a record we'll probably go into the production stage.”
He continues: “I’ve loved game shows since I was a kid. I'm just fascinated with how they work. When you go everyone has the chance to be a contestant, and they interview you to see if you have a personality.”
He adds: “They picked me, and we were crammed into these tiny little seats. There was a 400-pound human next to me – I just cleared right through them and I completely blacked out from excitement like, 'I've got to get on this game show!
"I wasn't even drunk, I was just pumped. I was losing my mind.”
Dutkiewicz scooped a Honda and a Nissan truck – but he sold both vehicles because he couldn't afford to pay the income tax on his winnings.
He adds: “It was the greatest day of my life, but the downside of winning the game is that in the States, they count everything you win as earnings and tax it.
"I had to give 20 or 30% back to the government – that’s a big chunk of money. So I sold both vehicles so I could afford everything.”
Killswitch Engage are currently touring Europe in support of their latest album, Incarnate. They'll also support Bullet For My Valentine on their winter UK tour later this year.
