Trent Reznor releases NASA song Juno
Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor teams up with composer Atticus Ross to celebrate NASA spacecraft Juno's journey to Jupiter
Trent Reznor has recorded a track called Juno with composer Atticus Ross to pay tribute to NASA's spacecraft mission to Jupiter.
The song, which includes electromagnetic sounds emitted from the planet, celebrates the Juno space shuttle as it makes its journey through the solar system – and it's due to arrive in Jupiter's orbit on July 4.
It was written for a short Apple film based on the mission, which also explores the relationship between space and music.
The Nine Inch Nails frontman has not worked on any music projects since his score for 2014 film Gone Girl – but he previously confirmed that his band will release new music this year.
