London avant pop outfit Firefly Burning have released a video for their cover of Portishead’s Wandering Star.

Described by Prog magazine as “flecks of Gentle Giant, Joni Mitchell and Fleet Foxes. Contemporary folk with art-prog leanings…”, the band recently proved to be a huge hit opening proceedings on the Sunday at this year’s sell-out Summers End festival. They also have an upcoming live show at London’s Kings Place on October 19.

“We’ve been holed up in the studio working on some new songs and covers, so it’s great to be sharing them at last,” says cellist Sam Glazer of the forthcoming show. “They went down really well at Summer’s End festival and we’re looking to playing for a home crowd in London”

Tickets for the Kings Place show are priced £12.50 and available here.
