Watch as Metallica create new track Now That We're Dead
Metallica issue studio video showing the making of Now That We're Dead from new album Hardwired... To Self-Destruct
Metallica have released a video showing the band writing and recording new track Now That We're Dead.
It's the latest in a series of videos the band have made available to give a glimpse at the making of their 10th album Hardwired... To Self-Destruct, which was released last month.
Now That We're Dead originally had the working title Tin Shot. In the behind-the-scenes video, frontman James Hetfield and bassist Robert Trujillo can be seen discussing the main riff and swapping ideas on how they could make it heavier.
Drummer Lars Ulrich can also been seen encouraging Hetfield to cut loose with his vocal performance. Ulrich says: "It feels like, is there some place that's a little more intense, vocally, than where we are right now. What happens if you take the lid off?"
He said: “Just watching that movie was extremely saddening – how her life went from such a lively joyous person, to someone who was just trying to escape the reality of where she was."
