Foreigner have released a new version of their 1987 hit, I Don’t Want To Live Without You. The song originally appeared on the band’s Inside Information album, recorded with former singer Lou Gramm, while the new version is fronted by current singer Kelly Hansen, who’s been in the band since 2005.

I Don’t Want To Live Without You is taken from Foreigner’s forthcoming greatest hits compilation 40, which is released on May 19. The album features 40 tracks spread across two CDs (23 on vinyl) featuring tracks taken from the band’s 40-year career in rock.

“This is a song I have always loved,” says Jones. “It has a special meaning for me as it was inspired by my mother. We decided to record it this time around with a modern sound and a greater guitar presence, as the original version was more of a keyboard song. It really worked nicely, and I’m very happy with it.”
