Metallica have announced that they’ll live stream a rehearsal session the night before the start of the North American leg of their WorldWired tour.

Their run of 25 shows will get underway on May 10 at Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium – and on May 9 at 9pm EST (2am GMT), the band will live stream four full tracks from the venue in an event titled Now That We’re Live on Facebook and through their website.

Drummer Lars Ulrich says: “We are psyched to share some of our rehearsals and final pre-production run-through with our friends around the world, and we hope you’ll come hang with us as we fire up the engines for the North American summer run.”

A limited number of Fifth Club members have the opportunity to attend the one-off event by registering their interest on Metallica’s website.

In addition, viewers will also be able to donate on Facebook Live to Metallica’s All Within My Hands Foundation, which supports various charities, as well as music education programmes and food banks.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Metallica will release a triple vinyl of their set at New York’s Webster Hall on Friday, May 5.
