Opening track Let The Big Dog Eat, with Albert Castiglia’s rich, powerful voice and dazzling guitar, starts an upward trajectory from his acclaimed 2014 Solid Ground album. Don’t Let Them Fool You highlights the influence of Mike Zito both as the producer and through the immense vocal and guitar duelling between the two bluesmen.

Luther Allison’s Drowning At The Bottom is played with an intensity and flair which compares favourably with one of the all-time greats. The funky Easy Distance confirms Castiglia’s songwriting and performing talents.

Miami (That’s What I Like About It) is a joyful celebration of home life in Florida. The slow-burning Where Did
I Go Wrong
and the haunting Where The Devil Makes His Deals are enhanced by Johnny Sansone’s stunning harmonica interludes which complement Castiglia’s heartfelt vocals.
