Classic Rock Quiz: The 1960s

Ten trivia questions on the decade when rock was rebellious - and music mattered

Rock n' roll may have been invented in the 1950s, but the 60s was the decade where the music came of age. Rock evolved into something far more powerful. The 60s gave birth to the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, the Doors, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Cream and changed music forever.

The 60s saw the rise of psychedelia, the British invasion, garage rock, surf rock and the early days of progressive rock.

In short, the whole damn decade rocked. Music mattered. Rock went mainstream and found a conscience, becoming more political and giving a whole generation a new way to come together - and protest.

Today is the International Day Of Peace, so what better way to celebrate than a trivia quiz focusing on some of the 60s biggest bands?

As always you have 10 x questions. 10 x seconds per question to answer and the faster you answer, the higher your score. If you miss a question, or want to try again - go ahead. It's your highest score which counts.
